On December 19th at 4:28 pm we welcomed a brand new baby girl into our family. She weighed 6 lbs 6 oz and was 18 1/2 inches long. We named her Karra Anne Neilson. She is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Since everyone has been asking me how delivery went I will give you a quick over view.
On saturday morning at 7:30 am my water broke and we went to the hospital. When i got there I was not contracting so they started me on pitocin. I started contracting around 11:00 am and got my epidural around 1:30 pm. After the epidural things were great, even before the epidural the conractions were not as bad as I expected them to be. Once I got the epidural i started dilating pretty quickly and I was a 10 and ready to push by 4 pm. I pushed through 3 contractions and she was born around 4:28pm. It was the biggest miracle Scott and I had ever seen let alone participate in. Karra was a beautiful healthy girl that we have been smitten with since she came into our lives.
Karra has been awesome so far. Even thought things can always change right now she is such a good sleeper, eating is still something we are both getting used to, however that will come with time. She has her daddy's nose and ears and a long face like here daddy. She has her mommys eyes, cheeks, and lips at least from what we can tell for now. Things can always change though. I am not going to bore you anymore I will now post some pictures of my beautiful baby girl!

Hospital Pictures
Our beautiful yet tired family.
She looks so much like me when I was a baby it is crazy
She loves having her hands by her face. She has discovered she can put them in her mouth so the onsies that cover her hands have been amazing!
She is so tiny.
She is the best Christmas present we could have been given!
Baby Karra the day she was born. The nurses put the cute red and green bows in her hair because she is a christmas baby. I loved that they did that and she looked so cute!

DECOR FOR KARRAS ROOM!
Its sideways......Oh well don't have the time to change it but this is an idea my sister had to put into Karra's room. It is a vase full of fake daisies the color of her room! It is so cute in the corner!
These are some boxes I painted to look like blocks. I painted them and used scrap booking things to decorate them! They are so cute. I am very proud of them.
These are some things I bought to decorate they are just sitting on a plastic shelf until I get my shelf up. They are so cute! Thanks to places like real deals i don't have to spend a lot to buy cute stuff!!!!
Here are some more things just stuck on a dresser for now. But the are all so cute and when I eventually get them where they need to go her room will be so adorable! I can't wait. And sorry the pictures are so blurry they were taken with my phone....... someday we will invest in a camera that is better than what we have. Someday before Karra is born thats for sure!
TUMMY
So i finally was able to take another picture of me pregnant. This is me at about 6months. I feel huge and after seeing this picture i look huge too. But i know i have a long way to go before the baby comes. Karra is kicking a ton and i love feeling her move. It is crazy to think she is growing inside of me. So the past couple weeks we have been able to do lots of things in Karra's room. We registered for my baby shower which is coming up and I can't wait to see everyone there. I also went shopping with my mom for Pink, Green, and Yellow decor for her room. I can't wait until everything comes together! Scotts parents are helping us refinish a dresser we have and scott and I are going to stain a shelf i bought. Scott is getting very ancy for Karra to be born to. He can't wait another minute. He wants her here now and so do I but the only thing keeping me sane is trying to decorate and make this room functional. Also today we were given a bunch of baby girl clothes and they are so cute! Thanks Jenny! I really appreciate everyone being so generous! It is nice to have some clothes for all ages newborn and up. Thanks to everyone that has helped us out!!! Our parents, grandparents, and brothers, and sisters!!!!!

Final Name
So we decided on a name we are naming her Karra (pronounced like the vehicle you drive with an A at the end) Scott picked the name. I love it and it just fits her for some reason. It has been a month since i last wrote and it is crazy how much changes in a month of pregnancy. I am at 6 months now and I can feel her all the time. She is moving like crazy now. Scott has felt her move a couple of times and he loves it. However she has started getting on her own little schedule and one of those scheduled times is 4:00 am! I wake up every night to a kick boxing lesson in my tummy. I love her though! We are busy getting the babys room together. We have a cradle that my grandpa made and us that my mom used for all of us kids. I am also getting really excited for her to come I can't wait to meet my little girl! And let me tell you she is already daddys girl. Scott can't stop talking about how excited he is to be with her and watch her. It is great to have so much help with the baby stuff. Only 16 weeks left!

ITS A GIRL
Scott and I went to have THE ULTRASOUND on friday. I was so excited I couldn't sleep for days. We got there and the doctor takes us into this huge room with a 50" inch TV on the wall so the ultrasound picture was blown up so it was easier for everyone to see. Scott and I also decided to take my sister Melissa. I figured I am her only sister and she may not get a chance to do this again before she has a baby. It was a good bonding experience for all of us. The baby was cooperative and we got a great butt shot. It is definitely a girl! We were all excited. Scott wanted a little girl so the smile on his face was ear to ear! I was so excited I got giddy! I couldn't believe it was a girl. We also got to see the spine and the four chambers of the heart. He pointed out everything from head to toe kidneys, bladder, blood slow of the umbilical cord. It was such a cool experiece! We then went from the doctor to Scotts parents house to tell them the good news. I drove and when we pulled up to the house scott was so excited he sprinted to the door I had to tell him to wait so I could see their faces too! It was so cute. But his family was so excited! I told my parents later that day. Melissa made me a shirt that said its a girl and wrapped it up for me. Since the next day was my brithday i opened it like it was a present and all my family was over and when I pulled the shirt out of the bag everyone was so excited. we took pictures of the shirt for Michael to see when we email him. Over all this was the best birthday present I could have ever asked for! Scott and I can't stop talking about our new baby girl!

155 Beats Per Minute
Yesterday Scott and I got to go to the doctor again to hear the heartbeat! Last time we saw the heart this time hearing it made everything seem so much more realistic and it really hit me that i am carrying a life in me! The heart beat was 155 beats per minute about which is normal for a baby of 15 weeks but it is so fast! Scott came up with another nick name yesterday for the baby he calls it pickle because the first ultra sound it looked like a peanut or a pickle. So now nick name is baby pickle until we know what it is. I think it is kinda funny. July 31st we will find out the gender and I can't wait. After that my life can move on!!!

The Terrible the Horrible No Good Very Bad Day!
Our week this was week was......well how shall we put this not ideal. On thursday Scott and I were both working. I happened to come home on my lunch break to relax and get away from work and well that was the last thing that was able to happen. I came home to a toilet over flowing for no reason. The bathroom was covered in an inch of water and the worst thing was it took me 10 minutes to turn the rusted knob to actually turn of the water. There was so much water I didn't even have enough towels to sop it up. I was so frusterated. Scott came home after work and was able to fix everything thank goodness. He is such a good husband.
But that is just the start of bad news. On friday morning scott woke up early hoping to to get into work an hour early and put an extra hour into work hoping to get some more leads for work. He got up around 6:00 a.m and got ready and left with a huge smile on his face knowing his day would be great, however, he got out to our car in our covered parking stall and our honda civic is up on blocks and the front driver side wheel was stolen. As in gone, not even the lugs were left. Someone stole our tire.......seriously who does that. So scott comes running into the house to tell me i woke up in a panic we had no idea what to do. We finally called orem police and the Officer came over and did a police report. I couldn't believe it, i never thought that would happen to us after all we don't even live in california anymore we live in utah! So i drove scott to work in american fork.
Oh yes it gets worse! I drove scott to work and before we left he locked the door but he locked the dead bolt which sometimes my key decides not to open. I get home 15 minutes before I have to get to work wanting to change to work clothes and out of my pajamas. But i couldn't i had to drive back up to scotts work to get the key. I was able to get home by 8:07 am. Late already i came home threw on clothes, no makeup, didn't d omy hair, and rushed to work I made it to work by 8:15. Only 15 minutes late after a morning like that being late just added one more thing! This was the terrible horrible no good very bad day!

SIT UPS?
So today i feel like i did a million sit ups however, i didn't even do one. I think my tummy is getting pressure from the baby and is stretching. It is a crazy feeling and becuase i have never been pregnant before this can be my only explanation of a sore tummy. My pants are starting to not fit as well. The begining of pregnancy is interesting. But i still can't wait to be a mommy!

I'M PREGNANT!!!!
So on April 10th I took the pregnancy test and of course it comes back positive! I was pregnant. However i was reluctant to trust the box tests so I scheduled my first prenatal to make sure. We went to the doctor today and saw the baby on the ultra sound for the first time. It was so tiny but you could see the heart beat and it was beating fast. We are so excited. It is hard to believe that a human life is forming in my stomach it is a miracle and a blessing. I am 9 weeks and 4 days along and farther along than we thought. Scott is always putting his hand on my stomach saying that's my baby. I have been a little morning sick but the medicine the doctor gave me is going to be a big help! I still can't believe I am pregnant and bringing a life into this world. Scott is super excited to be a daddy and i can't wait to be a mommy. Only about 7 more months and our new bundle of joy will be here!
